Cutting prep time in half
I’m not a gadget person. I find them more work to clean than the effort of chopping by hand. So when a client called around looking for a tomato chopper, I didn’t hesitate to voice my skepticism. In defense, the ladies at Kitchen Boutique in Cochrane offered to test and corroborate the Trudeau manual food processor saving her the trek if it didn’t do the job she needed it to.
The size of the bowl is perfectly medium for coleslaw, guacamole, pico de gallo, tabbouleh, tapenade, caulirice, baba ganoush, bread crumbs, meat salad sandwich filling or any dip that needs texture. There are a couple little tricks for optimal success ei: it needs to be at least half full and chop ingredients with like textures together. It’s important to note that this blade is incredibly sharp; I have the scar to prove it.
I liken this discovery to that of the salad spinner and wonder how I managed without it all these years of food prep? For $32, it’s the bomb!
